Resumo: This contribution aims at a presentation of discursive strategies in Heinrich Mann’s novel Henri Quatre as an example of the aesthetics of resistance defended by many writers on German language during the Exile. In this case, the relationship between Literature and History plays a fundamental role, since many authors used historical themes and characters to criticize the abuse of power and the violence propagated by the totalitarian State during the “Third Reich”.
