Evaluation of changes perceived by users from their insertion in a psychosocial care center in Lajeado-RS

Introduction: The evaluation of the impact of psychosocial rehabilitation programs on the lives of people living with psychological distress is an important recommendation by the World Health Organization. Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the perceived changes and the characteristics related to improvement among users f rom a Psychosocial Care Center in Lajeado-RS. Method: This is a cross-sectional study, conducted between August and October 2018, with 170 users, using the Perceived Change Scale - Patients (EMP-Patients). Results: The global improvement item had a score of 2.84, with standard deviation SD=0.39. Improvement was observed in 85.9% of cases. The aspects that were related to the perception of improvement were the participation in therapeutic workshops, time between medical consultations, positive assessment of quality of life and satisfaction with family support. Conclusion: There was a high prevalence of perceived improvement among the users evaluated. The perceived improvement was associated with aspects related to the service offerings and suggest its impact on the quality of life and family relationships of its users.
