The Content “Water Activities” in Physical Education at School: Limits and Perspectives

Resumo: The study aims at investigating whether the Physical Education teachers mobilize the contents of water activities in their classes, as well as analyse the factors which influence the understanding of such theme. In order to tackle the investigation problem, we delimited the time period in which the subject “Water Activites” was carried out, from 2013 to 2016, by using, as means of analysis, the data collected in structured interviews that were conducted by the undergraduate students of Physical Education with teachers from public schools. From the analysis resulted a set of explanations encompassing the facilities, technical expertise, fear of water and reductionism between content and the swimming activities.

Para dar cuenta del problema de la investigación, se delimitó el periodo en se ministró la asignatura “Actividades Acuáticas” entre 2013 a 2016, usando para fines de análisis, los datos recogidos en entrevistas estructuradas realizadas por los académicos con docentes de Educación Física de la red pública de enseñanza. Resultó de los análisis un conjunto de explicaciones originarios de las estructura física, competencia técnica, miedo del agua, y reduccionismo del contenido con los nados deportivos.O estudo objetiva investigar se os docentes de Educação Física escolar mobilizam os conteúdos de atividades aquáticas em suas aulas, e analisar os fatores que influenciam a compreensão da temática. Para dar conta do problema de investigação, delimitou-se o período em que foi ministrada a disciplina “Atividades Aquáticas” entre 2013 a 2016, utilizando, para fins de análise, os dados coletados em entrevistas estruturadas realizadas pelos acadêmicos com docentes de Educação Física da rede pública de ensino.
