Knowledge production in Motor Praxiology at the Physical Education and Sports Center of Federal University of Santa Maria

The Center for Physical Education and Sports at the Federal University of Santa Maria (CEFD/UFSM) throughout its history has been the stage for relevant scientific debate in the brazilian scenario. The aim of this research is to evaluate the scientific production in Motor Praxiology (PM) carried out with the Group of Praxiological Studies GEP - Brasil, produced in dissertations defended in the Postgraduate Program in Physical Education of CEFD/UFSM in the period 2014 - 2019, totaling 10 dissertations. The results were presented in the following themes: the national/international insertion of production; the dissertations’ methodological characteristics; PM concepts treated in the studies; and theories and themes that have been articulated with the PM, as well the main contributions. The results show that the researches are characterized by theoretical analysis, with an emphasis on praxiological analysis of bodily practices. There is a need for the Group to deepen its studies in pedagogical interventions as well as to articulate this knowledge with the theoretical principles of pedagogical theories.
