Resumo: The present study aims to disclose an interview with teacher Ruy Jornada Krebs in 1993, when he was still part of the faculty of the Physical Education and Sports Center (CEFD) of the Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM). Through this interview, guided by the theoretical-methodological assumptions of Oral History, was sought to record information about the historical constitution of CEFD/UFSM and the remembrances of Ruy Krebs, one of the institution's pioneer professors. The interview was recorded two decades after he joined the CEFD/UFSM faculty in 1973. By sharing this interview, almost 30 years after it was carried out, we intend to contribute not only to the preservation of CEFD/UFSM memories, but also, with future historical readings on the training of teachers in Physical Education in Brazil. A través de esta entrevista, guiada por los presupuestos teórico-metodológicos de la Historia Oral, buscamos registrar informaciones sobre la constitución histórica del CEFD/UFSM y los recuerdos de Ruy Krebs, uno de los profesores pioneros de la institución. La entrevista fue grabada dos décadas después de su ingreso al cuerpo docente del CEFD/UFSM en 1973. Al compartir esta entrevista, casi 30 años después de realizada, pretendemos contribuir no sólo a la preservación de la memoria del CEFD/UFSM, sino también, con futuras lecturas históricas sobre la formación de profesores de Educación Física en Brasil. Palabras clave: CEFD/UFSM; Formación de profesores; Historia de la Educación Física; Historia OralO presente estudo tem por objetivo apresentar uma entrevista realizada com o professor Ruy Jornada Krebs no ano de 1993, quando ele ainda fazia parte do corpo docente do Centro de Educação Física e Desportos (CEFD) da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM). Por meio desta entrevista, guiada pelos pressupostos teórico-metodológicos da História Oral, buscou-se registrar informações sobre a constituição histórica do CEFD/UFSM e as rememorações de Ruy Krebs, um dos professores pioneiros da instituição. A entrevista foi gravada duas décadas após seu ingresso no corpo docente do CEFD/UFSM no ano de 1973.  Ao compartilharmos esta entrevista, quase 30 anos após sua realização, pretendemos contribuir não apenas com a preservação das memórias do CEFD/UFSM, mas, também, com as futuras leituras históricas sobre a formação de professoras(es) em Educação Física no Brasil.
