Plagiarism is an ancient practice, and that digital technologies can facilitate. This paper addresses the plagiarism, such as reproduction or part of a work belonging to another without you allocate credit in academic production. The central objective is to ensure that this practice, in the gym can be a transgressive behavior of ethics and law, and thus compromise the constitutional protection for property rights. The methodology included the bibliographical, documentary and telematic, the latter used to find information in ways that combine the use of computers and telecommunications (MORESI, 2003). The controversy between the normative protection afforded to copyright, the blatant transgression identified plagiarism and ethical permissiveness with which society acts against this practice emerge from the theoretical proposal.
