Training in doctorates in arts in the northern region of Brazil: panorama and challenges in/from the Amazon

Resumo: This investigation sought to understand the challenges and approaches of/in the context of PhD in Arts in the northern region of Brazil. For this, a qualitative approach was carried out – based on a documental study on the CAPES-Sucupira Portal; in the Catalog of Theses and Dissertations of CAPES; and, in the portals of the strictusensu Programs of the Federal Public Higher Education Institutions (IESPF) in the North Region with programs in ​​Arts. From this, 15 theses defended between 2019-2021 in the Graduate Program in Arts - UFPA were analyzed. For the analysis, we developed 3 categories: 1- Subject/Object of investigation; 2-Methodology; 3- Concepts/Authors. As a consideration, we show that in the North region there are few Programs resulting in scarce trained human resources and countless ways to access knowledge, which are invisible. However, the discussions that are being triggered in the Doctorate in Arts are quite broad and have addressed the four languages ​​of the field of Arts.

Para ello, se realizó una investigación cualitativa – basada en un estudio documental en el Portal CAPES-Sucupira; en el Catálogo de Tesis y Disertaciones de la CAPES; y, en los portales de los Programas estricto sensu de las Instituciones Públicas Federales de Educación Superior (IESPF) de la Región Norte con programas en el área de Artes. A partir de esto, se analizaron 15 tesis defendidas entre 2019-2021 en el Programa de Posgrado en Artes – UFPA. Para el análisis creamos 3 categorías: 1 - Sujeto/Objeto de investigación; 2 - Metodología; 3 - Conceptos/Autores. Como consideración, destacamos que en la región Norte existen pocos Programas lo que resulta en pocos recursos humanos capacitados e innumerables formas de acceder al conocimiento, invisibilizadas. Sin embargo, las discusiones que se están dando en el Doctorado en Artes son bastante amplias y han abarcado los cuatro lenguajes en el campo de las Artes.Esta investigação buscou compreender os desafios e abordagens do/no contexto do doutoramento em Artes na região norte do Brasil. Para isso foi realizada uma investigação de abordagem qualitativa – a partir de um estudo documental no Portal da CAPES-Sucupira; no Catálogo de Teses e Dissertações da CAPES; e, nos portais dos Programas strictu sensu das Instituições de Ensino Superior Públicas Federais (IESPF) da Região Norte com programas na área de Artes. A partir disso foram analisadas 15 teses defendidas entre 2019-2021 no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes – UFPA. Para a análise elaboramos 3 categorias: 1-Sujeito/Objeto de investigação; 2 - Metodologia; 3 - Conceitos/Autores. Como consideração, evidenciamos que na região Norte há poucos Programas resultando em parcos recursos humanos formados e inúmeras formas de acessar o conhecimento, invisibilizados.
