Contributions of the Developmental Theory to the school teaching of Arts

Resumo: This article presents a theoretical study, with the aim of analyzing the main concepts that underlie the pedagogical action of the Art teacher, based on Historical-Cultural Psychology and Development Theory. The concepts of activity, psychic development, and humanization are discussed as promoters of the development of higher psychological functions, including creation and enjoyment. It is an organized form of teaching that works in the imminent development zone, updating and gradually expanding it, aiming at theoretical thinking and the development of the subject as a participant of the human kind. We also present the research carried out with this theoretical framework focusing on the discipline of Art, from 2011 to 2021, highlighting pedagogical actions proposed for an education that promotes the development of sensitivity and aesthetic perception, in relation to the generic and committed human being with a project that seeks more social justice.

Discutem-se os conceitos de atividade, desenvolvimento psíquico e humanização como promotores do desenvolvimento das funções psicológicas superiores, entre as quais a criação e a fruição. Trata-se de um ensino organizado que atua na zona de desenvolvimento iminente, atualizando-a e ampliando-a gradativamente, visando o pensamento teórico e o desenvolvimento do sujeito como partícipe do gênero humano.
