Resumo: This work aims to analyse the documentary Moscou (2009), by Eduardo Coutinho, which portrays the process of play production of The Three Sisters, by Chekhov. It will be dealt with here as an adaptation, as another way of retelling the play, where Coutinho discusses what is considered to be peculiar to a documentary, disclosing that the boundaries between fictional and factual are not fixed, as many people, nor is the documentary film a genre just grounded in reality as one might think.
