Resumo: The concern with the environmental problems currently faced by humanity is notorious. Themarked population growth and the problems that arise from the lack of urban planning arereflected in irregular occupations, usually in permanent preservation areas. The RegularizationProject of the Public Housing Company of Curitiba, which is part of the Accelerate Growth Projectof the Federal Government, removes slum families and relocates them to decent homes, withlight, water, sewage and garbage collection services. Environmental technicians performedenvironmental education activities to inform and encourage residents to conserve theenvironment, establishing hygiene standards and increasing the quality of community life. Thisstudy aimed the examination of the environmental education guidelines contained in the SocialWork Action Plans, part of the COHAB-CT Municipal Regularization Plan for permanentpreservation areas. The Regularization Plan equivalence with the social-environmental reality ofthe relocated residents was also evaluated. In order to verify the community profile, documentaryanalysis for each project plans and qualitative data collection of selected areas were performed.Preliminary results were satisfactory, although most projects are still ongoing. Selected familieshave been shown to be concerned and awareness with the environmental issues, willing to changetheir daily habits in order to improve their quality of life. In relation to the environmentaleducation guidelines of the plan, it was verify the need of some adjustment to the reality of eachcommunity.

In relation to the environmentaleducation guidelines of the plan, it was verify the need of some adjustment to the reality of eachcommunity.É notória a preocupação com os problemas ambientais enfrentados atualmente pela humanidade. O crescimento demográfico é acentuado e os problemas provenientes da falta de planejamento urbano se refletem nas ocupações irregulares, muitas vezes em áreas de preservação permanente. O Projeto de Regularização Fundiária da Companhia de Habitação Popular de Curitiba, que faz parte do Projeto de Aceleração do Crescimento do Governo Federal, retira as famílias do favelamento relocando-as para moradia digna, com luz, água, coleta de esgoto e coleta de lixo. Os técnicos ambientais realizam atividades de Educação Ambiental a fim de informar e incentivar os moradores a respeito da conservação do ambiente para que na nova moradia possam estabelecer padrões de higiene aumentando assim, a qualidade de vida da comunidade. Este trabalho teve como objetivo analisar as diretrizes de Educação Ambiental presentes nos Planos Técnicos de Trabalho Social, construídos a partir do Plano Municipal de Regularização Fundiária em Áreas de Preservação Permanente, da COHAB-CT e se este plano condiz com a realidade socioambiental dos moradores que serão relocados. Foi realizada a análise documental dos Planos de cada Projeto e coleta de dados qualitativa nas áreas selecionadas a fim de verificar o perfil das comunidades. Apesar da maioria dos projetos ainda estarem em andamento, os resultados parciais foram satisfatórios, as famílias tem se mostrado preocupadas e sensibilizadas à problemática ambiental, dispostas a mudança de hábitos no seu dia-a-dia a fim de melhorar a qualidade de vida.
