Resumo: It is visible the difficulties that most elementary school students, have to learn the contents that comprise the area of Natural Sciences. These contents become more difficult as students fail to associate your application to your day dia. Para minimize these shortcomings became a literature and application of practical classes and use of specific teaching material, in the ninth year class School Magda Ivana, municipality of Jaciara-MT. The goal was to use periodic table and experimental activity promoting methodology of the learning process of the chemical elements in science teaching elementary school. The activities in question refers to the use of a large and colorful periodic table and a fruit salad. The purpose of these activities was to demonstrate that there are new methods that facilitate the understanding of students and content relate science to everyday thereof. Knowing that in the ninth year is where students have their first contact with the chemical content so the activities implemented were focused on the chemical content mainly the periodic table. The results showed a good acceptance by the practical activities by students, where everyone participated actively. It was also noticeable interest thereof with respect to the contents studied.

Esses conteúdos se tornam mais difíceis à medida que os estudantes não conseguem associar sua aplicação ao seu dia a dia. Para minimizar essas deficiências fez-se um levantamento bibliográfico bem como aplicações de aulas práticas e utilização de material pedagógico especifico, na turma de nono ano da Escola Magda Ivana, município de Jaciara-MT. O objetivo foi utilizar tabela periódica e atividade experimental como metodologia facilitadora do processo de aprendizagem dos elementos químicos no ensino de Ciências do ensino fundamental. As atividades em questão referem-se ao uso de uma tabela periódica grande e colorida e uma salada de frutas. A finalidade dessas atividades foram a de demonstrar que existem novos métodos que facilitam a compreensão dos estudantes e relacionamos conteúdos de ciências com o cotidiano dos mesmos. Sabendo-se que no nono ano é onde os estudantes têm o seu primeiro contato com os conteúdos de química por isso as atividades aplicadas foram voltadas para os conteúdos de química principalmente a tabela periódica. Os resultados demonstraram uma boa aceitação pelas atividades práticas por parte dos estudantes, onde todos participaram ativamente.
