Actions aimed at people with disabilities: an analysis of publications in outreach scientific journals in Brazil

Resumo: Outreach in Brazilian Higher Education is the activity that promotes interaction between higher education institutions and other sectors of society, through the production and application of knowledge, in permanent articulation with teaching and research. In this sense, over the years, numerous projects have been developed, including those aimed at people with disabilities. This article proposes to identify them based on publications in scientific journals of outreach in Brazil, to visualize which projects on the theme “People with disabilities” were developed and published in scientific publications from January 2012 to June 2021. retrieved 82 articles that made up the final research corpus of the study. The result showed that outreach projects promote actions more focused on sensory impairment (visual and auditory), disabilities in general (which encompass different types of disabilities), physical disabilities and training of professionals who work with People with Disabilities (PwDs). Intellectual deficiencies are less attended to, and, therefore, it is understood that this is a gap to be explored, in future projects, based on outreach actions.

En este sentido, a lo largo de los años se han desarrollado numerosos proyectos, incluidos los dirigidos a personas con discapacidad. Este artículo propone identificarlos a partir de publicaciones en revistas científicas de todo Brasil, con el fin de visualizar qué proyectos sobre el tema “Personas con discapacidad” fueron desarrollados y publicados en publicaciones científicas de enero de 2012 a junio de 2021. recuperaron 82 artículos que componían el corpus final de investigación del estudio. El resultado mostró que los proyectos de extensión promueven acciones más enfocadas a las deficiencias sensoriales (visuales y auditivas), discapacidades en general (que engloban distintos tipos de discapacidad), discapacidades físicas y formación de profesionales que actúan con Personas con Discapacidad (PcD). Las deficiencias intelectuales son menos atendidas, por lo que se entiende que esa es una brecha por explorar, en futuros proyectos, a partir de acciones de extensión.A extensão na Educação Superior Brasileira é a atividade que promove a interação entre as instituições de ensino superior e os outros setores da sociedade, por meio da produção e da aplicação do conhecimento, em articulação permanente com o ensino e a pesquisa. Nesse sentido, ao longo dos anos, inúmeros projetos vêm sendo desenvolvido, dentre ele, àqueles voltados para pessoas com deficiência. O presente artigo propõe identificá-los a partir das publicações em revistas científicas de extensão do Brasil, a fim de visualizar quais projetos sobre a temática “Pessoas com deficiência” foram desenvolvidos e divulgados em publicações científicas de janeiro de 2012 até junho de 2021. Foram recuperados 82 artigos que compuseram o corpus de pesquisa final do estudo. O resultado mostrou que projetos extensionistas promovem ações mais voltadas para a deficiência sensorial (visual e auditiva), deficiências de um modo geral (que englobam diversos tipos de deficiência), deficiência física e capacitações de profissionais que atuam com Pessoas com Deficiência (PcDs).
