Diferentes recursos didático-pedagógicos no ensino de biologia: aproximando os conhecimentos científicos do cotidiano dos estudantes

Resumo: | This study presents as its central theme the importance of using different didactic tools to overcome the learning difficulties in abstract content such as Cellular and Molecular Biology in the elementary and high school. The didactic resources offer to motivate students in the teaching-learning process, represent an alternative to overcome the exclusive use of the textbook as research material, reading for students and lessons planning for teachers. The thesis is divided in four chapters presented in the form of articles. The first chapter presents an investigation about behavior, acceptance and performance of students in high school facing the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Allied ICT analyzed the applicability of practical activities in teaching Biology to support the introduction of computer resources. Chapter two investigates whether students motivated by the use of different teaching strategies to better understand about organization and functioning of the cell. In the third one investigates the use of different didactic resources (practical class with microscope and historical replicas, reading comic books and model building) in understanding of Cell Biology for students of elementary school and whether the program about cell teaching is really suitable. The fourth chapter examines whether the program about cell teaching is worked differently in the elementary and high school and which idea that students have about Cell Biology at the different levels of education. The ICT, through the webquest tool, proved to be an important didactic resource for teaching Molecular Biology, as well as motivated and instigated the students to build your knowledge. Moreover, the webquest presented applicability when combined with practical activity of DNA extraction. The different didactic resources had an important role in the student s motivation. Besides motivating, the different teaching tools helped in learning when the Cell Biology was related the student s daily life. The results indicated that the cell teaching is taught similarly in the elementary and high school. There was no greater maturity and conceptual evolution in high school, because the level of response complexity was similar to that found in elementary school. Thus, the didactic-pedagogic resources may be strategies important to stimulate students' curiosity, the desire for discovery and knowledge. |

Os recursos didático-pedagógicos apresentam potencial para motivar os estudantes no processo de ensinoaprendizagem, representam uma alternativa ao uso exclusivo do livro didático como material de pesquisa, leitura para o aluno e planejamento das aulas para professor. A tese está dividida em quatro capítulos apresentados sob a forma de artigos. O primeiro capítulo apresenta uma investigação a respeito do comportamento, aceitação e desempenho dos estudantes de 3º ano do Ensino Médio frente à utilização das Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação (TIC). Aliada às TIC analisou-se a aplicabilidade de atividades práticas no ensino de Biologia como suporte e complemento à introdução de recursos de informática. O capítulo dois investiga se estudantes motivados pela utilização de estratégias didáticas diversas compreendem melhor a organização e funcionamento da célula. No terceiro capítulo, investiga-se o efeito da utilização de diferentes recursos didáticos (aula prática com microscópio e réplicas históricas, leitura de gibi e confecção de modelo) como auxiliares na compreensão de conceitos de Biologia Celular por alunos do 8º ano do Ensino Fundamental bem como se o conteúdo programático sobre célula trabalhado nas escolas é adequado à série em questão. O quarto capítulo analisa se o conteúdo programático sobre célula é trabalhado de forma diferenciada no 8º ano do Ensino Fundamental e 2º ano do Ensino Médio e investiga qual a ideia que os estudantes apresentam sobre Biologia Celular nos diferentes níveis de ensino. As TIC, através da ferramenta webquest, demonstraram ser um importante recurso didático para o ensino de Biologia Molecular, pois além de motivar, instigaram os alunos a buscarem informações para construção do seu conhecimento. Além disso, a webquest apresentou aplicabilidade quando aliada à atividade prática de extração do DNA. A utilização de diferentes recursos didáticos teve um importante papel na motivação dos estudantes. Além de motivador, as diferentes ferramentas didáticas auxiliaram na aprendizagem quando a Biologia Celular foi relacionada aos assuntos do cotidiano dos alunos. Os resultados indicaram que o conteúdo sobre célula é ensinado de maneira semelhante no Ensino Fundamental e Médio. Não se observou maior maturidade e evolução conceitual no Ensino Médio, pois o nível de complexidade das respostas foi semelhante ao encontrado no Ensino Fundamental.
