Resumo: | Beach Tennis is a driving practice where each player handles a racket and controls a ball. In addition, it is practiced on a sand court divided by a net. This modality is relatively new, having appeared in mid-1987 in Italy and its rules emerged from the mixture of some driving practices, such as tennis, beach volleyball, badminton, and racquetball. In Brazil, Beach Tennis arrived in mid-2008 in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Due to the recent results of Brazilian athletes in international competitions and its easy gameplay, as well as the fun that the practice provides - even for those who have never played - and because it is practiced in coastal regions, it quickly expanded and has been conquering fans throughout Brazil. Whenever a new driving practice is present in society, countless needs arise, especially that of understanding in the best possible way how this sport works, both by practitioners and especially by those who teach. In this sense, Motor Praxiology aims to study the Internal Logic of games and sports, that is, to understand how each motor practice works according to its rules and how each player can act in relation to four basic elements: space, other players, materials, and time. The objective of this study is to characterize the Internal Logic of Beach Tennis from the Motor Praxiology. This study is a theoretical and exploratory research. The praxiological analysis was carried out using the concepts of Motor Praxiology with the rules of Beach Tennis. Altogether, 27 subroles were found in an individual game, that is, each player has 27 principles of strategic actions to hit the ball, two at the service moment and 25 at the game moment; and 35 subroles in a doubles game, three of them at the service moment and 32 of those at the game moment. With the study, it was possible to find several relevant information, such as the cooperation and opposition relations of the players during a match, the influence that practices in an open or closed environment have for the game and mainly the roles and subroles that the players can assume within a part, undoubtedly this facilitates the understanding of the operating logic of this driving practice, especially for those who do not know it, but also for those who work directly with it, such as teachers and players, with the main intention of highlighting fundamental elements that must be considered during the teaching and training process of this modality. |
