Resumo: Evaluating deformations that constituent materials of structural masonry suffer has been the focus of researchers around the world. Structural masonry is a structural system that has a behavior difficult to predict because the materials, when they are analyzed separately, have distinct characteristics and compositions. Current Brazilian standards for structural masonry do not take into account the influence of mortar on the ultimate strength and failure mode of the wall in a direct manner. Considering that properties of the block and the mortar can influence the behavior of the masonry, the present work seeks to analyze deformations and the failure mode of concrete block prisms that have different block and mortar resistances. This study analyzed two types of concrete blocks having their net area strengths of 19.89 MPa and 11.39 MPa, respectively. Each type of block was combined with two laying mortar resistances equivalent to a characteristic block strength in the net area of 0.30 and 0.70. For this reason, compression tests were performed on instrumented prisms to analyze the behavior and specific deformation separately of each material used in the prism set, and they were also filmed to obtain the failure mode through digital image correlation. The blocks separately were also instrumented and filmed, verifying their mechanical behavior when subjected to axial compression and their correlation when used as prism set. In addition, compression tests were performed on instrumented proof bodies of the bedding mortar used for the prism molding, with the purpose of finding the stress-strain curve of the material and verifying the onset of non-linearity, as well its correlation when used as the prism set. From the analysis of the results, it was observed the influence of the proportion that exists between the compressive strength of mortar and block on the strength and failure mode of concrete prisms subjected to compression. It was verified that the mortar resistance did not interfere in the ultimate resistance of the prisms, but triggering the failure mode process.

A alvenaria estrutural, é um sistema estrutural que possui um comportamento difícil de ser previsto, pois os materiais, quando analisados separadamente possuem características e composições distintas. As normas brasileiras vigentes de alvenaria estrutural não levam em consideração a influência da argamassa na resistência final e no modo de ruptura da parede de uma maneira direta. Levando em consideração que a as propriedades do bloco e da argamassa influenciam no comportamento da alvenaria, o presente trabalho busca analisar deformações e o modo de ruptura de prismas de bloco de concreto que possuem diferentes resistências de blocos e de argamassas. Esse estudo analisou dois tipos de blocos de concreto tendo eles resistências na área líquida de 19,89 MPa e 11,39 MPa, respectivamente. Cada tipo de bloco foi combinado com duas resistências de argamassa de assentamento moldadas em laboratório equivalendo a uma resistência característica do bloco na área líquida de 0,30 e 0,70. Para isso, foram realizados ensaios de compressão em prismas instrumentados para analisar o comportamento e a deformação específica separadamente de cada material no conjunto prisma, além dos mesmos serem também filmados para a obtenção do modo de ruptura através da correlação digital de imagem. Os blocos, separadamente, também foram instrumentados e filmados, verificando-se o comportamento mecânico dos mesmos quando submetidos à compressão axial e sua correlação quando no conjunto prisma. Além disso, foram realizados ensaios de compressão em corpos de prova instrumentados de argamassas que foram utilizadas durante a moldagem dos prismas, com o propósito de encontrar a curva-tensão deformação específica do material e verificar o início da não linearidade, além da sua correlação quando no conjunto prisma. A partir da análise dos resultados, observou-se a influência da proporção que existe entre a resistência à compressão da argamassa e do bloco sobre a resistência e o modo de ruptura dos prismas de concreto submetidos à compressão. Verificou-se que a resistência da argamassa não teve interferência na resistência última dos prismas, mas sim no desencadeamento do processo do modo de ruptura.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESporUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de TecnologiaPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia CivilUFSMBrasilEngenharia CivilAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAlvenaria estruturalResistência à compressãoModo de rupturaCorrelação digital de imagemStructural masonryCompressive strengthFailure modeDigital image correlationCNPQ::ENGENHARIAS::ENGENHARIA CIVILDeformações e modo de ruptura em prismas de blocos de concreto: análise experimental com extensometria e correlação de imagemDeformations and failure mode in concrete block prisms: experimental analysis with extensometry and image correlationinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisKaminski Junior, Joãohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/8734131577465605Santos Neto, Almir Barros da Silvahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/5418069223727965Alva, Gerson Moacyr Sisniegashttp://lattes.cnpq.br/2822918340798434Lübeck, Andréhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/7511022637484145http://lattes.cnpq.br/9469431070926433Schossler, Rodrigo Teixeira300100000003600fb163aa3-1a40-4810-9cca-8f94eabee26cf6224648-2d03-4014-82c4-5535888e352deccae8ed-a20c-46ac-b84d-48f1566a0a3b878d3391-0ae2-4aad-ab69-14161d8b376512f17c44-a0e4-4867-9744-2931d914a013reponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações do UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGEC_2019_SCHOSSLER_RODRIGO.pdfDIS_PPGEC_2019_SCHOSSLER_RODRIGO.pdfDissertação de Mestradoapplication/pdf25451794http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/19680/1/DIS_PPGEC_2019_SCHOSSLER_RODRIGO.pdf5fa67acca824128b31e40a3745dec9b2MD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
