Resumo: This paper has the objective of developing a methodology through the Markov model, in order to determine the probabilities of failure, maintenance, overload and shutdown of the power transformers, thus enabling the optimization in the detection of equipment failures. The application of the study will lead to greater assertiveness of the investments, providing technical support, scientific and greater agility in the decision making for the maintenance management of transformers.
