Resumo: This article analyzes comparatively the historical event of the Minas Gerais Conspiracy (1789) in the works A Viagem Proibida:  nas Trilhas do Ouro (2013), by Mary Del Priore, and História Sociedade & Cidadania (2018), by Alfredo Boulos Junior. The comparison between the two works, made from the assumptions of Hutcheon (1991), Burke (1992), Trouche (2006), Fleck (2017) and Bernd (1998), demonstrates that the hybrid narrative of history and fiction can provide other ways of thinking about the historical facts and promotes reader awareness.
