ORAL PRACTICES IN TEACHING: FROM TEXT TO CONTEXT

Resumo: The school follows a long tradition that assigns a core importance to the text, a concept that is also present in the didactic treatment of orality. This article intends, within the framework of the theory of genres of sociodiscursive interactionism, to demonstrate that the consideration of elements of the communicational context as teachable dimensions can prove to be extremely important for the improvement of oral texts. To demonstrate this, we will compare texts from two corpora, one produced within the scope of the classroom coordinates, and another collected in the context of an interschool oratory competition. The analysis of the textual blocks related to the presentation of the personal position and the arguments that support it indicates that the diversification of communicative objectives, discursive roles and space-time axes may constitute a relevant element to be considered in the teaching of oral expression.

Neste artigo pretende-se, no quadro da teoria de géneros do interacionismo sociodiscursivo, demonstrar que a consideração dos elementos do contexto comunicacional como dimensões ensináveis pode revelar-se de extrema importância para o aperfeiçoamento dos textos orais. Para o demonstrar, procederemos ao cotejo de textos de dois corpora, um produzido no âmbito das coordenadas da sala de aula, e outro recolhido no contexto de um concurso de oratória interescolas.
