ANALYSIS OF PERNAMBUCO CURRICULUM DOCUMENTS AND ORALITY IN THE EARLY YEARS OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Resumo: We discussed the guidelines for the teaching of oral language in the curriculum documents of Recife Municipal System (Brazil), based on some dimensions mapped by researchers from the Centro de Estudos em Educação e Linguagem (CEEL/UFPE): linguistic variation, relations between speech and writing, reflections on the social practices using orality and oral genre, and the production and understanding of oral texts. Through the Content Analysis of documents (BARDIN, 1977), we categorized the didactic guidelines for oral language teaching presented in the document.  The analyses were supported by the concepts of curriculum, Portuguese teaching, and "oral language" (MARCUSCHI, 2001; SCHNEUWLY E DOLZ, 2004; MOREIRA E CANDAU, 2007; LEAL, BRANDÃO E LIMA, 2012; etc.). The data showed that Recife's curriculum document presents abilities referring to all dimensions of "oral language" teaching, except linguistic variation. The dimensions "Reflections on the social practices using orality and oral genre" and "production and understanding of oral texts" were more frequently approached, though some crucial sub-dimensions were not considered. Despite some gaps, we conclude that the document delineates the space of the oral axis.

Despite some gaps, we conclude that the document delineates the space of the oral axis. Discutimos as orientações para o ensino da linguagem oral no documento curricular da Rede Municipal de Recife, a partir de algumas dimensões desse ensino, mapeadas por pesquisadores vinculados ao Centro de Estudos em Educação e Linguagem (CEEL/UFPE): variação linguística, relações entre fala e escrita, reflexões sobre práticas sociais do uso da oralidade e sobre gêneros orais e produção e compreensão de texto orais. Através da Análise Documental de Conteúdo (BARDIN, 1977), categorizamos as orientações didáticas relativas ao ensino da linguagem oral apresentadas pelo documento. As análises foram subsidiadas por concepções sociointeracionistas de currículo e ensino da Língua Portuguesa e “Linguagem oral” (MARCUSCHI, 2001; SCHNEUWLY E DOLZ, 2004; MOREIRA E CANDAU, 2007; LEAL, BRANDÃO E LIMA, 2012; etc.). Os dados demonstraram que o documento curricular de Recife apresenta habilidades referentes à todas as dimensões do ensino da “Linguagem oral”, exceto a variação linguística. As dimensões “Reflexões sobre práticas sociais de uso da oralidade e sobre gêneros orais” e “Produção e compreensão de textos orais” foram abordadas com maior frequência, apesar de algumas subdimensões importantes não serem tratadas.
