Resumo: | ABSTRACT. The research investigates how teachers who work in Early Childhood Education in Porto de Moz - PA think about their pedagogical practices and children's learning in the face of the problem of overcrowding in preschool classes. It aims to identify the factors that cause overcrowding in preschool classrooms and their implications for children's learning; as well as examining the difficulties that teachers face in their practices in overcrowded classes. This is a qualitative exploratory study developed in a public school in Porto de Moz-PA, from November to December 2021, through the application of a semi-structured questionnaire directed at three teachers of Early Childhood Education. The results indicate that the overcrowding of classes harms the child's development by not allowing recreational activities, aspects that affect the quality of the teachers' pedagogical work; Also noteworthy is the lack of investment in building more schools in the city, the inadequacy of the physical structure and the lack of support from municipal management, the Municipal Secretary of Education with the education of children and the work of teachers. |

La investigación investiga cómo los profesores que actúan en la Educación Infantil en Porto de Moz - PA piensan sobre sus prácticas pedagógicas y el aprendizaje de los niños frente al problema de la superpoblación en las clases de preescolar. Tiene como objetivo identificar los factores que provocan el hacinamiento en las aulas de preescolar y sus implicaciones en el aprendizaje de los niños; así como examinar las dificultades que enfrentan los docentes en sus prácticas en clases superpobladas. Se trata de un estudio exploratorio cualitativo desarrollado en una escuela pública de Porto de Moz-PA, de noviembre a diciembre de 2021, mediante la aplicación de un cuestionario semiestructurado dirigido a tres docentes de Educación Infantil. Los resultados indican que la masificación de las clases perjudica el desarrollo del niño al no permitir actividades recreativas, aspectos que afectan la calidad del trabajo pedagógico de los docentes; También se destaca la falta de inversión para construir más escuelas en la ciudad, la insuficiencia de la estructura física y la falta de apoyo de la gestión municipal, la Secretaría Municipal de Educación con la educación de los niños y el trabajo de los docentes. .ABSTRACT. Tem como objetivo identificar os fatores que ocasionam a superlotação das salas de aulas da pré-escola e suas implicações na aprendizagem das crianças; bem como, examinar as dificuldades que os docentes enfrentam em suas práticas nas turmas superlotadas. Trata-se de um estudo exploratório qualitativo desenvolvido numa escola da rede pública de Porto de Moz-PA, no período de novembro a dezembro de 2021, por meio da aplicação de questionário semiestruturado direcionado a três professoras da Educação Infantil. Os resultados apontam que a superlotação das turmas prejudica o desenvolvimento da criança por não possibilitar atividades lúdicas, aspectos que repercutem na qualidade do trabalho pedagógico dos professores; destacam-se também a falta de investimentos em construção de mais escolas na cidade, a inadequação da estrutura física e ausência de apoio da gestão municipal, da Secretaria Municipal de Educação com a educação das crianças e com o trabalho do professor.
