Resumo: | ABSTRACT. The research that supports this article outlined as a general objective the exercise of understanding the political dimensions of Rural Education (EC) in the country and in the Amazonian context, which was materialized from a balance of intellectual work around the rural reality. The article presents a bibliographical mapping of the productions related to public policies in RE in Brazil and Amazonas. This dialogue between national and local is expressed in the methodological path of the literature review, which included searches in the Federal University of Amazonas and the State University of Amazonas repositories and in the Scielo, Google Academic and Capes Periodicals electronic databases. Among the results and conclusions, the following research findings are highlighted: the social movements in the countryside are the protagonists in the design of policies for RE in Brazil; the political, pedagogical and productive dimensions of CE are ratified; the concept of sustainable development is in dispute; while the specificities of the Amazonian countryside lie in the confrontation between the historical exploitation of natural resources, the peasant way of life and social inequalities. |

El artículo presenta un mapeo bibliográfico de las producciones relacionadas con las políticas públicas de ER en Brasil y Amazonas. Este diálogo entre lo nacional y lo local se expresa en el recorrido metodológico de la revisión de la literatura, que incluyó encuestas en los repositorios de la Universidad Federal de Amazonas y la Universidad Estatal de Amazonas y en las bases de datos electrónicas Scielo, Google Academic y Capes Periodicals. Entre los resultados y conclusiones, se destacan los siguientes hallazgos de la investigación: los movimientos sociales rurales tienen un rol protagónico en el diseño de políticas para la EC en Brasil; se ratifican las dimensiones política, pedagógica y productiva de la EC; el concepto de desarrollo sostenible está en disputa; mientras que las especificidades del campo amazónico radican en el enfrentamiento entre la explotación histórica de los recursos naturales, el modo de vida campesino y las desigualdades sociales.ABSTRACT. O artigo apresenta um mapeamento bibliográfico das produções referentes às políticas públicas de EC no Brasil e no Amazonas. Este diálogo entre o nacional e o local expressa-se no percurso metodológico da revisão de literatura, o qual contou com levantamentos nos repositórios da Universidade Federal do Amazonas e da Universidade do Estado do Amazonas e nas bases eletrônicas Scielo, Google Acadêmico e Periódicos Capes. Dentre os resultados e conclusões, destacam-se os seguintes achados da investigação: os movimentos sociais do campo protagonizam o delineamento das políticas para a EC no Brasil; as dimensões política, pedagógica e produtiva da EC são ratificadas; o conceito de desenvolvimento sustentável encontra-se em disputa; ao passo que as especificidades do campo amazônico residem no confronto entre a histórica exploração dos recursos naturais, o modo de vida camponês e as desigualdades sociais.
