Agricultural Family School: reflections about contributions to rural communities

Resumo: ABSTRACT. In this article, we aim to analyze the field education project of the Escola Família Agrícola in the city of Veredinha (MG) and, from it, discuss the contributions to the subjects that make up the community; and, to contribute to the discussion about the role of geography teaching in rural education projects. The methodological procedures involve the realization of a specialization course monograph, including research and bibliographical study, document analysis and systematic observation. We indicate as contributions the capacity of mobilization and social organization of the farmers and the pedagogical alternation, which reverberate in the educational spaces and are consolidated with young people active in the region. EFAV contributes to the production of territories of resistance, with significant changes in regional dynamics. We conclude by pointing out that the EFAV was created to guarantee access to secondary and technical education for young people in the countryside, but it has advanced in a pedagogical and political proposal that meets the interests of the subjects in the countryside. To this end, it involved popular mobilization and also the articulation of different social organizations. The school itself mobilized educational and political processes that mobilized and raised awareness among communities and farmers.

Los procedimientos metodológicos implican la realización de monografías de cursos de especialización, incluyendo la investigación y el estudio bibliográfico, el análisis de documentos y la observación sistemática. Señalamos como aportes la capacidad de movilización y organización social de los agricultores y la alternancia pedagógica, que reverberan en los espacios educativos y se consolidan con los jóvenes activos en la región. El EFAV contribuye a la producción de territorios de resistencia, con cambios significativos en la dinámica regional. Concluimos señalando que la EFAV fue creada para garantizar el acceso a la educación secundaria y técnica de los jóvenes del campo, pero ha avanzado en una propuesta pedagógica y política que responde a los intereses de los sujetos del campo. Para ello, supuso la movilización popular y también la articulación de diferentes organizaciones sociales. La propia escuela movilizó procesos educativos y políticos que movilizaron y sensibilizaron a las comunidades y a los agricultores.ABSTRACT. Os procedimentos metodológicos envolvem a realização de monografia de curso de especialização, incluindo pesquisa e estudo bibliográfico, análise de documentos e observação sistemática. Indicamos como contribuições a capacidade de mobilização e organização social dos agricultores e a alternância pedagógica, que reverberam nos espaços-tempos educativos e se consolidam com juventudes atuantes na região. A EFAV contribui na produção de territórios de resistência, com significativas mudanças na dinâmica regional. Concluímos apontando que a EFAV foi criada para garantir acesso ao ensino médio e técnico para jovens do campo, mas avançou em uma proposta pedagógica e política que atende aos interesses dos sujeitos do campo.
