Organizational injustice as a stressor in the workplace: An analysis by gender and age range in the tertiary sector

Resumo: The environment organizational features can be considered stressors to employees. The aim of this work was to analyze the employee’s perception of organizational stress and stressors correlated to the organizational justice among terciary sector workers from a gender and age perspective. There were132 employees from a city in São Paulo state, of whom 48 from the retail sector and 84 from services, their ages ranging from 18 to 63. The Perception of Stress and Stressors Inventory, the Distributive Justice Scale and the Procedure Justice Scale were used. The data was analized by Anova and Pearson Correlation. It was identified a correlation of specific work environment stressors with distributive and procedure organizational justice and this correlation was different because of age and gender, showing the necessity to consider these variables in this kind of studies for developing work environment healthed.

Objetivou-se analisar a percepção de trabalhadores quanto ao estresse e estressores organizacionais, correlacionando-os com a percepção de justiça organizacional em trabalhadores do setor terciário, a partir de uma perspectiva de gênero e faixa etária. Participaram 132 trabalhadores do interior de São Paulo, sendo 48 do setor de comércio varejista e 84 de prestação de serviços, com idades variando de 18 a 63 anos. Utilizou-se o Inventário de Percepção de Estresse e Estressores e as Escalas de Percepção de Justiça Distributiva e de Procedimentos. Os dados foram analisados pela Anova e Correlação de Pearson.
