Indigenous Psychology : mapping becomings

Resumo: | Psychology reaches indigenous peoples in Brazil as an ethnocentric science that overlaps their knowledge because its knowledge does not consider their particularities and the healthcare in their culture. Not by chance, the work of psychologists with these peoples has been an aspect of the attention of psychology boards. This article converges to this psychological work facet; it aims to understand what an indigenous psychology would be, by whom it would be built, and what would be its possibilities of action. This understanding derived from interviews with members of the Brazilian Articulation of Indigenous Psychologists, who identify themselves as psychologists and indigenous people. At first, they answered questionnaires; then they were interviewed. The method of data analysis was Deleuze and Guattari’s cartography, translated into four common flows: body-territory (issues of identity and belonging); crossroads of difference (production of a rhizomatic psychology); the head thinks from where the feet step (reaffirmation of the importance of considering the historical process of construction of psychological knowledge); all painted in jenipapo color and annatto color (process/projects of foundation Brazilian association for indigenous psychology); indigenous devir-psychology (construction of a libertarian, decolonial psychology not only by indigenous peoples but also to them). |

No es por casualidad que el trabajo de los psicólogos con los pueblos indígenas ha sido un aspecto de la atención de los consejos de psicología. Este artículo converge a esta dimensión del trabajo psicológico cuando propone el objetivo de comprender qué es la psicología indígena, por quién se construye y cuáles son sus posibilidades de acción. Esta comprensión se derivó de entrevistas con miembros de la Articulación Brasileña de Psicólogos(as) Indígenas, que se identifican como psicólogos y pueblos indígenas. Al principio, respondieron cuestionarios; después fueron entrevistados. El método de análisis de los datos generados fue la cartografía de Deleuze y Guattari, traducida en cuatro vertientes: cuerpo-territorio (cuestiones de identidad y pertenencia); encrucijada de la diferencia (producción de una psicología rizomática); la cabeza piensa desde donde pisan los pies (reafirmación de la importancia de considerar el proceso histórico de construcción del conocimiento psicológico); pintado con jenipapo y achiote (proceso/proyectos de fundación de ABIPSI); devir-psicología indígena (construcción de una psicología libertaria, non colonial por los pueblos indígenas y para ellos).A psicologia chega a povos indígenas do Brasil como uma ciência etnocêntrica que sobrepõe seu saber aos saberes deles sem considerar suas particularidades e os cuidados com a saúde em sua cultura. Não por acaso, a atuação de psicólogos com povos indígenas tem sido aspecto da atenção de conselhos da área de psicologia. Este artigo converge para essa dimensão do trabalho psicológico ao objetivar compreender o que vem a ser a psicologia indígena, por quem é construída e quais são suas possibilidades de atuação. Tal compreensão derivou de entrevista com membros da Articulação Brasileira dos(as) Indígenas Psicólogos(as), que se identificam como psicólogos e indígenas. De início, responderam a questionários; depois, foram entrevistados.
