Deaf Identities: Path of creating and validating an instrument

Resumo: The deaf community is composed of different individuals who have a unique life path, they are individuals who have different identities even though they belong to the same community. Different identities require different measures of inclusion. Beside that, understanding the profiles and identities, could help professionals to deal with accessibility factors in an effective way which could include all deaf identities. This research is about the development and validation of an instrument that aims to identify the deaf identity as well as  the identity of individuals with hearing impairment.The instrument would provide knowledge regarding deaf identities present in most diverse regions of Brazil by promoting accessibility in an effective and inclusive way to all deaf people.

Diferentes identidades requieren diferentes medidas de inclusión, de esta manera, entender las diferentes identidades, puede ayudar a los profesionales más diversos a pensar en la accesibilidad de una manera efectiva y que incluya todas las identidades sordas. Esta investigación trata sobre la construcción y validación de un cuestionario que tiene como objetivo identificar la identidad del individuo sordo/con discapacidad auditiva. A partir de este instrumento, nuevas investigaciones podrán profundizar aún más las identidades sordas presentes en las más diversas regiones, promoviendo la accesibilidad de manera efectiva e inclusiva.A comunidade surda é composta por indivíduos que possuem uma trajetória de vida singular, sendo assim são indivíduos que possuem identidades diferentes ainda que pertençam a uma mesma comunidade. Essas identidades requerem diferentes medidas de inclusão, desta forma, compreender os perfis e identidades, pode auxiliar os mais diversos profissionais a pensarem acessibilidade de uma maneira efetiva e que inclua todas as Identidades Surdas. A presente pesquisa trata-se da construção e validação de um questionário que tem como objetivo identificar a identidade do indivíduo surdo/deficiente auditivo.
