Resumo: The Constructional Morphology is a model proposed by the Dutch linguist Geert Booij (2010, 2014), which has emerged in the morphological analysis, within a semantic perspective that approaches some theoretical assumptions of Cognitive Linguistics. Brazilian authors, as Soledade (2013) and Gonçalves and Almeida (2014), made applications of booijian model for the Portuguese, pointing out that, despite some progress, there are issues that need to be improved. The article presented here follows in the methods of these criticisms previous readings, to which should be added the observations of Simões Neto and Soledade (2015), and Soledade (2017a, 2017b, to appear), highlighting that there are many challenges in the treatment of Portuguese data, especially in matters related to Historical Linguistics, in the sense of linguistic change, and in the sense of the description/interpretation of archaic Portuguese.
