The child and the experience of interaction rules in conversation: “What kind of game are we playing?”

Resumo: The following article aims to have a deeper discussion about child experiences with rules of interaction. In order to do so, we focused on the displacements that the child makes and interprets in the conversation while trying to understand the interactional episode experienced. In the approach of such theme, we analyze an enunciative selection of conversational interactions between  two year and two year - six month, with her parents and friends. The analysis of this selection shows that the child’s participation in the conversation involves a complex sociocognitive operation for understanding the interactional event, that is, for recognizing the “game” that all participants seem to have accepted to play. The child, through micronegotiations, improves her competence to produce enunciates that are adapted to communicative situation and to the other’s discourse, in a collective building of their saying.

Para tanto, focalizam-se os deslocamentos que a criança produz e interpreta na conversação, na busca de compreensão do episódio interacional vivenciado. Na abordagem desse tema, analisam-se dois recortes enunciativos compostos por interações conversacionais de uma criança na faixa etária dos dois anos aos dois anos e seis meses, com seus pais e seus amigos. A análise desses recortes, representativa da pesquisa realizada, revela que a participação da criança na conversação implica uma complexa operação sociocognitiva de compreensão do evento interacional, ou seja, do reconhecimento do “jogo” que todos os interactantes parecem ter aceitado jogar.
