Resumo: The effects of changes in society have contributed to a diversification of diversity and the increase of increasingly plurilingual and multicultural scenarios (BLOMMAERT; RAMPTON, 2011). Therefore, this paper investigates how the linguistic landscape of the border city of Foz do Iguaçu/PR semioticizing multilingualism in the public space, and which language policies circumscribe this context. Our theoretical basis had contributions from the field of language policy (HAMEL, 1993; CALVET, 2007; MAHER, 2007, 2008, 2013); research in the field of linguistic landscape (CENOZ; GORTER, 2008; SHOHAMY; GORTER, 2009; BLOMMAERT; MALY, 2014); and came from an interdisciplinary perspective to conceptualize superdiversity and globalization (VERTOVEC, 2007; SOUSA SANTOS, 2010). The field research corpus was formed through the photographic capture of different texts enrolled in public spaces of the city. Data analysis suggests that multilingualism recorded in the linguistic landscape of Foz do Iguaçu had influence of globalization processes, especially by the English, who also semioticizing the tourist party, and different immigration flows, with higher expression of Arabic-speaking groups, which has its language and culture marked in the center and in the neighborhood near the Paraguayan border; also showed that the ordering of urban space in the city is semiotized and semioticizing differently languages and language communities living in this area, and thus the revealing linguistic landscape of local linguistic and cultural policies.
