Sowing care: development of pedagogical resources on the experience of the “Popular Education and Medicinal Plants in Primary Health Care” course

Resumo: | This article addresses the experience of building a book and a game as educational resources in the context of the Popular Education and Medicinal Plants in Primary Health Care course, which aims to train primary care workers from the Unified Health System to promote recognition, appreciation, and integration of traditional knowledge of medicinal plants in care. Reflections based on the experience highlight dialogic and participatory paths in the construction of educational resources, based on principles of popular education, which preserve an opening for them to have the reality and the territories of life and work of students and educators as a reference. In conclusion, building educational resources from the popular education perspective collaborates with critical readings of reality. Also, utilizing medicinal plants as a generating theme allows the analysis of different structuring elements of the health, disease, and care process. |

Also, utilizing medicinal plants as a generating theme allows the analysis of different structuring elements of the health, disease, and care process.Este artigo aborda a experiência de construção de recursos educativos, um livro e um jogo, no contexto do curso Educação Popular e Plantas Medicinais na Atenção Básica à Saúde, que objetiva formar trabalhadores da atenção básica do Sistema Único de Saúde para o desenvolvimento de ações de reconhecimento, valorização e integração dos saberes tradicionais de plantas medicinais no cuidado. A partir da exposição da experiência, são feitas reflexões que apontam caminhos dialógicos e participativos na construção de recursos educativos fundamentados em princípios da educação popular, que preservam uma abertura para inserção na realidade e nos territórios de vida e trabalho dos educandos e educadores. Conclui-se que recursos educativos, na perspectiva da educação popular, colaboram com leituras críticas da realidade, e que as plantas medicinais, como tema gerador, possibilitam a análise de diferentes elementos estruturantes do processo de saúde, doença e cuidado.
