Resumo: The objective of this paper is to present the experience of the implementation of a Student Assistance Notice in an Institution of the Federal Network of Professional and Technological Education, which aims to stimulate the promotion of human rights, diversity, fight against oppression, and confrontation of discrimination experienced by the students. This is a descriptive study of experience, critically and qualitatively examining the importance of the integral formation for student permanence. Thus, this essay begins with the principles of the National Policy of Student Assistance (2010) and dialogues with reflections of the author Paulo Freire (1987). These reflections are very appropriate for the contemporary historical moment and for the development of the Student Assistance work, which includes student permanence and the promotion and expansion of the ethical values of freedom, equality, and democracy, demonstrated by the educational processes fostered by the proposed Notice.

These reflections are very appropriate for the contemporary historical moment and for the development of the Student Assistance work, which includes student permanence and the promotion and expansion of the ethical values of freedom, equality, and democracy, demonstrated by the educational processes fostered by the proposed Notice.  Este trabalho tem o propósito de apresentar a experiência da implementação de um Edital da Assistência Estudantil de uma Instituição da Rede Federal de Ensino Profissional e Tecnológica cujo objetivo é estimular ações de promoção de Direitos Humanos, diversidades, de combate às opressões e enfrentamento das discriminações vivenciadas pelos estudantes. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo da experiência desenvolvida, trazendo um exame crítico e qualitativo da importância da formação integral para a permanência dos estudantes. Assim, este ensaio parte dos princípios da Política Nacional de Assistência Estudantil (2010) e dialoga com reflexões de Paulo Freire (1987).
