The interface between theatrical productions and health education in the context of primary health care

Resumo: | A fundamental part of the development of a health education practice is to consider the actual users of the health service. With regard to social protagonism and popular participation, there are several possibilities for guaranteeing participatory spaces that allow the effective participation of those involved in the educational process - integrating them in the discussion, identification and search for solutions to problems that emerge from their lives - such as the use of artistic languages. This paper aims to understand how participating in theater can give the users practical education in Primary Health Care. It was a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory research. The researcher observed a “Train the Trainer” programme for Young Educators. The educative practice observed had the participation of students, but it did not include them in the whole process (as planning, creation and presentation). Alternatively, there was a one-way communication, with the “teacher” explaining the processes and limited interaction from the audience. In order to have a genuinely collaborative health education there must be participation from all interested parties. |

No que tange ao protagonismo social e à participação popular, são várias as possibilidades de garantir espaços participativos que proporcionam a atuação efetiva de tais usuários no processo educativo - integrando-os na discussão, identificação e busca de soluções para problemas que emergem de suas vidas - como, por exemplo, a utilização das linguagens artísticas. Este estudo teve como objetivo compreender como o teatro pode contribuir para a construção das práticas educativas junto aos usuários no contexto da Atenção Primária à Saúde. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa do tipo descritiva e exploratória. Realizou-se a observação participante de uma prática educativa em saúde com intervenções artísticas sobre a formação de educadores juvenis para educação entre pares. A prática educativa observada neste estudo privilegiou a participação ativa dos educandos, mas não os incluiu em todas as etapas da atividade, como no planejamento, na criação e na execução da ação.
