Researching is needed: challenges for critical education in times of ethical and social crisis

Resumo: The central discussion that we now present in this article deals with the challenge of researching with a political-pedagogical perspective of contemporary education. For being in front of a social context that presents us with a world in permanent transformations, education must transmit and provide an increasingly broad access to knowledge that enhances the critical reading of the world in its different aspects. Reading and interpreting the context that changes quickly requires a new profile in teaching and mobilizing strategies for students to feel stimulated in the paradigm of learning to learning and that is, learning to research. Well, we learn during all of our lives and, in this challenge, the right to life will increasingly be confused with the right to learn. Life and knowledge are always mutually implicated. The methodology of this study is restricted to a bibliographic research, and among the main conclusions, we can highlight that the perspective of research as a pedagogical paradigm requires the resizing of life and school routines, where all subjects are stimulated and mobilized for the construction of a society learner and ethically committed to the sustainable future of life on our planet with respect for cultural pluralism and the dignity of the human person.

Diante de um contexto social que nos apresenta um mundo em permanente transformação, a educação deve transmitir e oportunizar o acesso cada vez mais amplo aos saberes que potencializam a leitura crítica do mundo em seus diferentes aspectos. Ler e interpretar o contexto, que muda rapidamente, requer um novo perfil na docência e estratégias mobilizadoras dos educandos para se sentirem estimulados no paradigma do aprender a aprender, ou seja, aprender a pesquisar. Isso porque aprendemos a vida toda e, nesse desafio, cada vez mais o direito à vida vai se confundir com o direito de aprender. Vida e conhecimento estão implicados mutuamente.
