Resumo: Geography is a science that includes different perspectives about the environmental concept. The aim of this research is to analyze the concept of environment used by Brazilian geographers. Our approach included semi-structured interviews applied to Brazilian geographers dealing with environmental. The Method of Content Analysis was used to enable analyzes by grouping the respondents into different categories. This research revealed current results stating diverse Brazilian geographers’ viewpoints regarding the concept of environment. Such concept fits into four different geographical thinking such as classical, quantitative, critical and contemporary.
