Afro-descendant graduates from the Vacancy System of the Stat University of Montes Claros: an analysis of the educational and professional trajectory

Resumo: This paper aims to analyze the educational and professional trajectory of graduates of the Afro-descendant category at the State University of Montes Claros. This research was based on the following question: What educational and professional trajectories have the graduates of the system of reservation of places for needy Afro-descendants followed after completing their graduation? Through the methodology of qualitative and quantitative approach, 45 questionnaires were applied to graduates from different areas of training, in order for them to report their experiences as black students and undergraduate quota students. In the qualitative approach, a bibliographic review and documental research were used. The results show that higher education has increased their knowledge baggage, increased these people's income and prepared them for the job market.

La investigación partió de la siguiente pregunta: ¿Qué trayectorias educativas y profesionales han recorrido los egresados del sistema de reserva de plazas para afrodescendientes de bajos recursos tras completar su graduación? A través de la metodología de enfoque cuantitativo se aplicaron 45 cuestionarios a egresados de diferentes áreas de formación con el fin de informar sobre sus experiencias como estudiantes negros y de cuota de pregrado. El enfoque cualitativo utilizó una revisión bibliográfica y una investigación documental. Los resultados muestran que la educación superior ha aumentado el bagaje de conocimientos y de renta de estas personas y las ha preparado para el mercado laboral.O presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a trajetória educacional e profissional dos egressos da categoria afrodescendente da Universidade Estadual de Montes Claros. A pesquisa partiu da seguinte indagação: Que trajetórias educacionais e profissionais têm percorrido os egressos do sistema de reserva de vagas para afrodescendentes carentes após a conclusão da graduação? Através da metodologia de abordagem quantitativa, foram aplicados 45 questionários aos egressos de diferentes áreas de formação, a fim de que relatassem suas experiências vividas enquanto alunos negros e cotistas da graduação. Na abordagem qualitativa utilizou-se a revisão bibliográfica e a pesquisa documental.
