Sustainable production and consumption in basic education: analyses between the 2030 Agenda and the National Common Curricular Base

Resumo: This article aims to problematize the way in which the ideas of responsible consumption and production are addressed by the National Common Curricular Base (known as “BNCC” in Brazil), based on the 2030 Agenda. The present work, which constitutes a qualitative bibliographic case study, was supported by the reading and interpretation of texts and documents chosen from the hermeneutic perspective. Knowing the demands of the 2030 Agenda and identifying them in the National Common Curricular Base is essential in order to be able to project what the role of education should be, in relation to environmental and sustainability issues. The study made it possible to understand that, by signing a global pact for the construction of a sustainable and resilient world, Brazil has committed itself, from the Curricular Base, to making human formation effective considering this unavoidable environmental need.

El trabajo, de naturaleza bibliográfica y abordaje cualitativo, se apoyó en la lectura e interpretación de textos y documentos elegidos desde una perspectiva hermenéutica. Conocer las demandas de la Agenda 2030 e identificarlas en la BNCC es fundamental para poder proyectar cuál debe ser el papel de la educación con relación a los temas ambientales y de sostenibilidad. El estudio permitió comprender que, al firmar un pacto mundial para la construcción de un mundo sostenible y resiliente, Brasil se comprometió, a partir de la Base, a hacer efectiva la formación humana teniendo en cuenta esta impostergable necesidad ambiental.Este texto tem como principal objetivo problematizar a forma como as ideias de consumo e produção responsável são abordadas pela Base Nacional Comum Curricular, a partir da Agenda 2030. O trabalho, de natureza bibliográfica e abordagem qualitativa, apoiou-se na leitura e interpretação de textos e documentos escolhidos a partir da perspectiva hermenêutica. Conhecer as demandas da Agenda 2030 e identificá-las na BNCC é fundamental para poder projetar qual deve ser o papel da educação em relação às questões ambientais e de sustentabilidade.
