Conceptions of physics students about the relationship art and physics

Resumo: Considering the recognized role of art throughout history as an influence element in the production of scientific knowledge, this exploratory study sought to raise ideas that students of Physics in UFGD have on the relationship between art and physics. Thecutout for the physical lies in the mechanics. To survey concepts that students have about the relationship between physics and art was used an online questionnaire with open and closed questions about art and physics, focusing on perception of the respondent, aspects of the historical relationship between the two and reflections on the construction of scientific knowledge. Analysis of the responses indicated a trend towards acceptance of art as an element able to contribute to the teaching of physics.

El recorte para la física radica en la mecánica. Para encuestar las concepciones que los estudiantes tienen sobre la relación entre física y arte, se aplicó un cuestionario en línea con preguntas abiertas y cerradas sobre arte y física, centrándose en la percepción del encuestado, los aspectos de la relación histórica entre ambos y las reflexiones sobre la construcción del conocimiento científico. El análisis de las respuestas mostró evidencia de aceptación del arte como un elemento capaz de contribuir a la enseñanza de la física.Considerando o reconhecido papel da arte ao longo da história como elemento de influência na produção de conhecimento científico, este estudo exploratório buscou levantar concepções que os alunos das Licenciaturas em Física - presencial e a distância - da Universidade Federal da Grande Dourados (UFGD) possuem sobre a relação entre arte e Física. O recorte para a Física situa-se na mecânica. Para o levantamento de concepções que estudantes têm sobre a relação entre Física e arte foi aplicado um questionário online com questões abertas e fechadas sobre arte e Física, enfocando percepção do respondente, aspectos da relação histórica entre ambas e reflexos na construção de conhecimento científico.
