Resumo: Pedro Demo is from Santa Catarina, son of farming parents. He studied at a Franciscan seminary, where he made philosophy and part of theology. In Germany, he received a doctorate in sociology (1971), whose thesis received full marks and was published in 1973 (Anton Hains Verlag, Meisenheim). Postdoctorate at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) (1999-2000). In December 2009 he was appointed Emeritus Professor of UnB. He has publications in the areas of social policy (education) and scientific methodology. It is dedicated to the challenge of continuing teacher education. In the two hundred and thirty-two pages, introduction, fourteen chapters, and references, PedroDemo brings the approach of learning through authorship, contrasting instructional teaching in schools and universities.

Postdoctorado en la Universidad de California en Los Ángeles (UCLA) (1999-2000). En diciembre de 2009 fue nombrado profesor emérito de la UnB. Tiene publicaciones en las áreas de política social (educación) y metodología científica. Está dedicado al desafío de la formación continua del profesorado.En las doscientas treinta y dos páginas, introducción, catorce capítulos y referencias, PedroDemo aporta el enfoque del aprendizaje a través de la autoría, contrastando la enseñanza de enseñanza en las escuelas y universidades.Pedro Demo é catarinense, filho de pais agricultores. Estudou em seminário franciscano, onde fez filosofia e parte da teologia. Na Alemanha fez doutorado em sociologia (1971), cuja tese recebeu nota máxima e foi publicada em 1973 (Anton Hains Verlag, Meisenheim). Fez pós-doutorado na Universidade da Califórnia em Los Angeles (UCLA) (1999-2000). Em dezembro de 2009 foi nomeado Professor Emérito da UnB. Possui publicações nas áreas de política social (educação) e metodologia científica.
