Visual deficiency and Mathematical Education: Study of articles published in the analysis of National Meetings of Mathematical Education

Resumo: This is a qualitative research and aims to present the state of the art of researches that involve visual impairment, published in all annals of the National Meetings of Mathematics Education, considered one of the main events of the Mathematics Education community in Brazil. In order to select the articles, the following keywords were searched: Visual impairment, blind people, inclusion and Special Educational Needs. We found 38 papers, which in our analysis were subdivided into groups: didactic activities; teacher’s training, and perspectives. It was observed that the subject was not approached in the first eight editions of the event and only from 2004 the first works appeared in the perspective investigated in this study, and in 70% of these researches the general objective was to develop methodologies for teaching of Mathematics for visually impaired students.

Tem por objetivo apresentar um estudo das pesquisas que envolvem a deficiência visual, publicadas em todos os anais dos Encontros Nacionais de Educação Matemática, considerado um dos principais eventos da comunidade de Educação Matemática do Brasil. Para selecionar os artigos, buscamos as seguintes palavras-chave: deficiência visual, cegos, inclusão e Necessidades Educacionais Especiais. Encontramos 38 trabalhos, que em nossa análise foram subdivididos em eixos: atividades didáticas; formação de professores e perspectivas.
