The depreciation speech of the overweight body, in diverse moments, can also be propagated by individuals that promote health, being these people the sources of one of the main ways of prejudice placement trough pejorative comments, what generate at these stigmatized individuals feelings of blamming, misunderstanding and incompetence. The fatphobic society observes a fat body e judges the state of healthy and the habits of that person only from their body. In view of the presented arguments it’s possible to notice that the stigma of the obesity reflects in a deep way in the life of the overweight people bringing from social impacts to biologic and economic impacts. It occurs because the weight is a determinant factor for that the social spaces and the spaces that promote health express discriminatory behaviors and unsubstantiaed judgements reducing the quality of the life of these people and contributing for an aggravation at the misunderstanding and privation of their fundamental rights. With this problematic, the present study has as it’s objective to adress the impact of the stigma of the weight at the social life e promoting the health of fat people. Therefore, as a methodology was utilized a bibliographic revision near the literature about the content.
