This study analyzes the relationship between unpaid domestic work and women's careers in the new structure of labor relations, seeking to understand how the social attribution to women of domestic tasks and care contributes to keeping them in precarious, partial and flashing. Relating the bibliography of authors of sociology of work and gender to field research, it is proposed to show the direct relationship between the place of women in the family and the job market. According to Danièle Kergoat, the sexual division of labor, characterized by the priority placement of men in the productive sphere and women in the reproductive sphere, positions men in functions with added social value, resulting in a higher incidence of precarious work by women. Field research, based on interviews with women in precarious occupations, confirms the hypothesis that free domestic work and care by women strongly contributes to the placement and permanence of precarious jobs. Thus, the study aims to contribute to gender and work research that investigates the complex relationships between professional and family environments.
