The economic structures of each country are full of singularities, and the international finantial system is ordered by a monetary hierarchy, which means that the currency of each State has a value and relevance within this system, where its power is measured from the development degree of each economy, beyond its participation in the global trade and geopolitical power dimension. Considering the existence of capital lows among the international community, it is noted that these flows, when directed to emerging and developing countries, are influenced by the dynamics of global liquidity. This work aims to analyze the capital flows directed to the peripheral countries in this monetary hierarchy, which are included in the Balance of Payments Financial Account, analyzing the large flows and the sub flows, in addition to highlighting the dynamics existing between residents and foreigners in their different compositions. Among the peripheral countries, the highlight of this work is given to the BRICS group, which are emerging and developing countries with great relevance in the international economy, which strongly represent the group of peripheral countries and will have their Financial Account analyzed in detail in order to prove the hypothesis raised.
