Resumo: Introduction - Occupational Health seeks to relate work to the health-disease process of workers. In this context, Quality of Life at Work (QLW) is related to environmental, physical, social and psychological aspects of the work environment and seeks to provide satisfactory conditions for workers. Given the importance of QLW and the organizational proposal of health services in health care networks, the Primary Health Care (PHC) workers stand out. Although this is the ordering door of care, they are often configured as environments of tension for health teams, as in addition to the continuous contact with suffering and pain, they are professionals who also work with structural and personal deficits, which expose signs and physical and emotional symptoms that influence QLW. This study is justified given the importance of these professionals and the satisfactory performance of their functions for the success of health policies centered on PHC with actions, mainly, of disease prevention and health promotion. Objective - To understand the elements that make up QLW from the perspectives of PHC professionals in a city in Minas Gerais. Method- Study with a quantitative-qualitative and descriptive approach, carried out with PHC professionals in a city in the Triângulo Mineiro years of 2020 and 2021. The research took place in two stages: the first was the face-to-face application of the Total Quality of Work Life questionnaire (TQWL-42), analyzed through scores ranging from 0 to 100. The second stage consists of the online application of a questionnaire, containing four essay questions in order to identify the perspectives of PHC professionals, which were analyzed through Thematic Content Analysis. Results - This study originated two articles that uniquely understood the QWL of PHC professionals. From the Content Analysis emerged the thematic categories - Performance at Work; Negative feelings and impacts on Quality of Life at/Work; Work conditions; Classification of Quality of Life at/Work, which communicated with the Aspects of the TQWL-42, and jointly showed that although there are problems that interfere with QWL, such as rest time, inadequate infrastructure, low pay, QWL presents itself, paradoxically , in a satisfactory way. Conclusion - By associating the workers' narratives about QWL with the Aspects measured in the TQWL-42 questionnaire, it was shown that QWL was classified as 'good'. However, factors such as salary issues, insufficient infrastructure and the development of negative feelings constantly influence the dynamics of QWL. Factors that require systemic and integrated actions by the local management, aiming to develop the QWL and, therefore, the APS can be worked through the presentation of the research results to the competent bodies of the researched municipality.
