Resumo: This term paper deals with the theoretical and practical investigation about the gaze of an actor during a scene, taking as an investigative motto the gaze of the clown, directed to the public or not. For this research cut this theme is discussed and investigated after the analysis of the presentations of a scene called "The Dress". The gaze is something very quoted in theater classes, such as "keep your eyes alive", "Don't look like a dead fish", "I want life in that look", "you lack that gleam in the look" among other expressions that always are often cited and often unexplained. But - how does the actor look at the audience interferes with the reception of the scene?
