As cinco forças de Porter no SemeAd: um levantamento bibliométrico

Resumo: In view of the increase in competitiveness in various market segments throughout the twentieth century, it was necessary to use strategies aimed at the competitive analysis of organizations. Among the strategies used, Porter's Five Forces stand out, since it is a strategy capable of providing knowledge to managers about factors that infer the company's performance, which favors the paths for risk predictions and the taking of decision. The present study aimed to identify aspects of Porter's Five Forces theory in the proceedings of the Seminars in Administration (SemeAd), held by the University of São Paulo (USP). More specifically, published works from the year 2014 to the year 2021 were analyzed. For that, the bibliometric research methodology was used, in order to characterize and survey which published studies had the model of the Five Forces of Poter as a theoretical basis . To go even further, an observation of the profile of published studies was also carried out. The results found showed that, despite the great use of citations and research by the author Michael Eugene Porter, few articles have the theme as a basis. It was also found that the studies of this sample do not present continuity between them. Furthermore, the theoretical framework developed from the positioning school was uniquely developed by Porter, although other authors from other theoretical schools of strategy and marketing have been cited.

Dentre as estratégias utilizadas, destaca-se as Cinco Forças de Porter, uma vez que se trata de uma estratégia capaz de propiciar conhecimentos aos gestores sobre fatores que inferem no desempenho da empresa, o que favorece os caminhos para as previsões de riscos e as tomadas de decisão. O presente estudo teve como objetivo identificar aspectos da teoria das Cinco Forças de Porter em anais do evento dos Seminários em Administração (SemeAd), realizado pela Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Mais especificamente, foram analisados trabalhos publicados do ano de 2014 até o ano de 2021. Para tanto, utilizou-se a metodologia de pesquisa bibliométrica, para assim ser possível caracterizar e levantar quais estudos publicados tiveram o modelo das Cinco Forças de Poter como base teórica. Para ir ainda mais além, também foi realizada uma observação do perfil dos estudos publicados. Os resultados encontrados evidenciaram que, apesar da grande utilização de citações e pesquisas do autor Michael Eugene Porter, poucos artigos possuem o tema como base. Constatou-se também que os estudos desta amostra não apresentam continuidade entre si.
