AIDS nos livros didáticos de Biologia: PNLEM 2007, PNLD 2012 e 2015

Resumo: AIDS was considered a worldwide epidemic soon after being first described, in 1981. The beginning was marked by the stigmatization of groups that still remains in the present day, along with prejudices, moralizes and blames of people living with HIV. The textbook, inserted in the school context, can be essential in preventing illness and deconstruction of prejudices, for the promotion of quality of life and happiness. More than provide assorted information about the theme, it must link to the social, historical and cultural context. Thus, the research question was: How AIDS is presented in textbooks of Biology of high school, in Brazil, approved by the National Textbook Program - PNLEM / PNLD, editions of 2007, 2012 and 2015? More specifically, how books dialogue with teenagers regarding this issue? How the manual orients the teachers? Therefore, the present study aimed to investigate aids theme in Biology textbooks approved by the PNLEM/PNLD. The method of content analysis of Bardin was employed, looking for analyze how this content it's inserted and worked in textbooks over all issues that have already occurred (PNLEM 2007, PNLD 2012 and 2015), highlight the possible contributions that the teacher's manual presents on aids to work in the classroom, as well as investigate how books dialogue with the students and teachers about AIDS. As a result, it was found that knowledge in textbooks is related primarily to biological aspects and the arguments are authoritarian and moralizing. The language is distant to young boys and girls, and do not makes them sensitize for the issue. The manuals little add, support and encourage the teacher to propose discussions and deconstruction of prejudices. Along the issues, there were some specific inserts on people living with HIV rights and governmental responsibility, for example, but wasn't added to the debate about AIDS. In general, throughout all editions of PNELM/PNLD, were introduced content updates, but remained little social, cultural and historically contextualized.

Seu surgimento foi marcado pela estigmatização de grupos, que ainda permanece nos dias atuais, com a expressão de preconceitos, moralização e culpabilização das pessoas vivendo com HIV. O livro didático, inserido no contexto escolar, pode ser fundamental na prevenção e na desconstrução de preconceitos, para a promoção da qualidade de vida e da felicidade. Mais do que fornecer informações diversas sobre a temática, deve vinculá-la ao contexto social, histórico e cultural. Assim, tem-se a questão de investigação: como é apresentada a aids em livros didáticos de Biologia, Ensino Médio, no Brasil, aprovados pelo Programa Nacional do Livro Didático - PNLEM/ PNLD, edições de 2007, 2012 e 2015? Mais especificamente, como os livros dialogam com os (as) adolescentes em relação a essa questão? Como se dá a orientação dos manuais aos (às) professores (as)? Dessa forma, o presente trabalho teve como objetivo investigar a temática aids nos livros didáticos de Biologia aprovados pelo PNLEM/PNLD. Para isso, foram verificadas as coleções aprovadas em todas as suas edições (PNLEM 2007, PNLD 2012 e PNLD 2015) e os manuais do professor as acompanham. O método de análise de conteúdo de Bardin foi empregado, buscando analisar como esse conteúdo está inserido e trabalhado nos livros ao longo de todas as edições do PNLEM/PNLD já ocorridas, destacar as possíveis contribuições que o manual do professor apresenta sobre a aids para o trabalho em sala de aula, além de investigar como as obras dialogam com os (as) estudantes e professores (as) a respeito dessa temática. Os resultados demostraram que, nessas obras, o conhecimento sobre a aids está relacionado prioritariamente a aspectos biológicos e que os argumentos são impositivos e moralizadores. Além disso, a linguagem é distante do jovem, o que poderia não o sensibilizar para a questão. Por último, não são encontrados muitos indícios de que estes manuais acrescentam, apoiam e incentivam o (a) docente a propor discussões e desconstruções de preconceitos. No entanto, ao longo das edições, houve algumas inserções pontuais, como os direitos das pessoas vivendo com HIV e as responsabilidades governamentais, por exemplo, mas não acrescentaram debates sobre a temática aids.
