STUDY OF ALTERNATIVE MATERIALS EMPLOYED IN THE MANUFACTURE OF BLACK GLOBE THERMOMETER USED FOR CALCULATE BGHI AND RLT

Resumo: Due to the high cost of copper and the globe with a view to use in large-scale experiments in the area of rural buildings to measure the comfort level of a given environment, this research aims to make a comparative analysis between the values temperature found based on the globe black copper, and the values found with the use of alternative materials globe. The choice of material was based on size, durability, availability, and ease of handling. All treatments were exposed to the external environment in flat area without vegetation cover, randomly distributed. The data were collected at 9 h, 11 h, 13 h, 15 h, and 17 h for 15 days. The experimental design was completely randomized design with 08 treatments and 01 control treatment (copper globe) with 5 repetitions. In conditions in which the work was conducted, it can be concluded that all alternative materials could be used in place of copper globe, however it is recommended to make a correction before using the data, black globe temperature in calculating the alternative BGHI and RTL according to the material used. The globes made of pet bottle and fixture were those with temperatures closer to the globe of copper.

The globes made of pet bottle and fixture were those with temperatures closer to the globe of copper.Devido ao alto custo de aquisição do globo de cobre e tendo em vista sua utilização, em grande escala, em experimentos na área de construções rurais para medir o nível de conforto ambiental, a presente investigação teve como objetivo fazer uma análise comparativa entre os valores de temperatura de globo negro encontrado com base no globo negro de cobre, e os valores encontrados com a utilização de globo de materiais alternativos. A escolha dos materiais foi feita com base no formato, durabilidade, disponibilidade e facilidade de manuseio. Todos os tratamentos foram expostos ao ambiente externo em área plana e sem cobertura vegetal, distribuídos de forma aleatória. Os dados foram coletados às 9 h, 11 h, 13 h, 15 h e 17 h, durante 15 dias. O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado, tendo 08 tratamentos, sendo o tratamento 01 testemunho (globo de cobre), com 5 repetições. Nas condições em que o trabalho foi conduzido, pode-se concluir que todos os materiais alternativos poderiam ser utilizados em substituição ao globo de cobre, no entanto é recomendável fazer uma correção antes da utilização dos dados de temperatura do globo negro alternativo no cálculo do ITGU e CTR, de acordo com o material utilizado.
