Calculation of the thermal exchange surface of coolers with forced air circulation for a chicken freezing tunnel

Resumo: | This article aimed to calculate the thermal exchange surface of coolers with forced air circulation, which use ammonia as a refrigerant fluid, for an industrial poultry freezing tunnel of a slaughterhouse located in Santa Izabel do Pará/PA and compare this calculation with the actual surface on the coolers of the respective existing tunnel. This was field research carried out in the second half of 2019 and also refers to an exploratory bibliographic research, based on books in the industrial refrigeration category and academic works in the same segment. After carrying out the calculations, the total heat exchange surface of 2,814.1562 m² was arrived at and it was observed that the theoretical calculation of the heat exchange surface was about 43.17% greater than that found in existing coolers. |

Tratou-se de uma pesquisa de campo realizada no segundo semestre de 2019 e também refere-se à uma pesquisa bibliográfica exploratória, baseada em livros da categoria de refrigeração industrial e trabalhos acadêmicos do mesmo segmento.
