Resumo: The approval of the New Code of Civil Procedure has aroused a great number of debates within the doctrinal sphere, especially in order to inaugurate a cooperative procedural paradigm based on fundamental rights. In this scenario, the present study aims to present the reader with an overview of the whole historical context of procedural reforms in the national system, the main changes implemented and the challenges and mishaps identified in the first months of validity of the new diploma.
