Resumo: | The results of studies on citizenship and ethics, based on interviews, documents and textbooks consulted, still have a very “bookish” conception. In the real life of the Mozambican people, especially in the researched region, Cabo Delgado, northeast Mozambique, the educational world still reflects the lack of citizenship and ethics in society as a whole, in particular when it comes to access to essential goods related to education, health and quality of life. In methodological terms, a bibliographic and documental review was carried out on the themes with a qualitative focus, data collection from interviews with high school teachers in three schools. The technique used was the application of a questionnaire, divided into open and closed. The results were obtained from a research clipping of the dissertation at the academic master's level on the "Curriculum of philosophy in general secondary education of the 2nd cycle in Mozambique". Two categories that emerged from the interviews were chosen: citizenship and ethics. The development of autonomy and critical-reflective thinking allows the improvement of the student as a person, makes an important allusion to the formation of ethics. Citizenship, in turn, must be understood as a conscience and attitude of universal respect and freedom, living in society and political formation. For, political training requires and allows democratic participation, respect for the opinions, lifestyles of each citizen and engagement in the construction of a free, autonomous and democratic society. |
