School failure in high school in a rural school: causes and reasons identified in the voices of students and teachers

Resumo: Education in Brazil faces several problems, among them, school failure in high school, whose dimensions cause concern in the school community. In this sense, the present study aims to analyze the conceptions of high school students and teachers at the José Rodrigues da Silva School Unit about school failure. It is a qualitative research, in which the questionnaire was used as a technique and instrument of data production, with the students; and informal conversations with teachers. The results, based on the voices of students and teachers, point out that the causes and reasons for school dropout and failure aredirectly linked to school failure. This, then, is a multifaceted phenomenon, the result of the reflexes of Brazilian society, marked by educational inequalities that negatively affect the access and success of students, still prevailing the logic of social exclusion, requiring, therefore, the construction of discourses and social inclusion practices, especially in rural schools.

En ese sentido, el presente estudio tiene como objetivo analizar las concepciones de estudiantes y profesores de enseñanza media de la Unidad Escolar José Rodrigues da Silva sobre el fracaso escolar. Es una investigación cualitativa, en la que se utilizó el cuestionario como técnica e instrumento de producción de datos, con los estudiantes; y conversaciones informales con los maestros. Los resultados, basados en las voces de estudiantes y docentes, apuntan que las causas y motivos de la deserción y el fracaso escolar están directamente ligados al fracaso escolar. Este, entonces, es un fenómeno multifacético, resultado de los reflejos de la sociedad brasileña, marcada por desigualdades educativas que afectan negativamente el acceso y el éxito de los estudiantes, aún prevaleciendo la lógica de la exclusión social, requiriendo, por lo tanto, la construcción de discursos y acciones sociales. prácticas de inclusión, especialmente en las escuelas rurales.A educação no Brasil enfrenta diversos problemas, dentre eles, o fracasso escolar no Ensino Médio, cujas dimensões causam preocupação na comunidade escolar. Nesse sentido, o presente estudo tem como objetivo analisar as concepções de estudantes e de professores do Ensino Médio da Unidade Escolar José Rodrigues da Silva sobre o fracasso escolar. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, na qual se utilizou o questionário como técnica e instrumento de produção dos dados, junto aos estudantes; e de conversas informais, junto aos professores. Os resultados, a partir das vozes de estudantes e de professores, apontam que as causas e as razões do abandono e da reprovação escolar estão diretamente ligadas ao fracasso escolar.
